We’re a close-knit team of about 15 people based in the Amsterdam region. After a complete frontend rebuild we’re now entering a backend-focused phase, building new integrations, improving architecture, and scaling our platform. We’re looking for a developer who wants to take ownership of our backend and help shape the future of safety in construction tech.

What you’ll do

Own and evolve
Take full ownership of our backend platform with a domain-driven microservice architecture built on Node.js with Express, RPC protocols, and a MariaDB database.

Architect and design
Lead the technical direction, design and optimize schemas, queries, indexing, and data models while ensuring performance, reliability, and security.

Build and integrate
Develop APIs for our frontend and implement integrations with our broader product ecosystem such as shared authentication and unified dashboards.

Collaborate
Work closely with our frontend developers and product team to deliver impactful features that improve safety outcomes on construction sites.

Your profile

At least 3 years of experience with Node.js and MariaDB or MySQL in production environments
Skilled in designing and maintaining service-oriented systems
Security-first mindset with attention to authentication, authorization, and data privacy (GDPR)
Strong communicator who enjoys working in a small collaborative team
Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus
Based in the Netherlands and available to work on-site part of the week
